Ranch Rules and Policies

DEPOSITS

A deposit equal to 25% of your total stay, or one night’s accommodation for a 2-night stay, is required at booking.

The authorization of your payment of the deposit confirms your acknowledgment and compliance with Meadow Lake Guest Ranch’s reservation and cancellation policies, terms and conditions.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Guests will receive a full refund for cancellation up to 30 days before check-in.

If a reservation is booked between 30 and 14 days of the check-in date, a full refund will be offered for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking. 

A partial refund of 50% of the full stay amount will be offered if a reservation is cancelled more than 7 days from check-in.

Guests will incur the full charge for their stay if their reservation is cancelled within 7 days of check-in.

There are no allowances for early departure or services not taken.

RANCH RULES

Please leave our ranch in the same state you found it.

Be aware that this is a working ranch. There is free range livestock on this ranch.

Please close gates behind you if you found them closed; please leave gates open if you found them open.

Please use the fireplace responsibly. Do not leave fires unattended with fireplace doors open.

Do not burn any garbage, recycling, cardboard etc. in the fireplaces. Wood and newsprint only!

Please keep any and all objects a safe distance away from fires, fireplaces and radiators.

Please take your shoes off at the entrance of your house.

CHECKING OUT

Please leave the house and property in the same state you found it in.

Upon check out, please place all dirty towels and place in the hampers or in a bathtub.

You are not required to strip your bed linens. If you brought your own linens and towels, please remember to take them with you.

Please clean all used dishes and utensils. Dishes may be left in the dishwasher, but please ensure that you turn the dishwasher on before your departure.

Your damage deposit may be withheld if we find significant damage to the buildings or property as a result of your stay.

PETS

Your pets are welcome at Meadow Lake Guest Ranch.

We ask that you wipe your dog down with towels provided in baskets by the door upon entry after a dirty or soggy walk.

There are poop bags, a wheelbarrow and shovels provided. We ask that you please clean up. This is a family place with kids playing around. Litter boxes and pee pads are to be left in the mudroom or on the porch. They are not allowed in the houses unless arranged with management.

Please refrain your animals from chasing livestock and birds. We have a Ducks Unlimited bird sanctuary on our lands the contains sensitive breeding areas.

As a note of caution, we recommend your furry companion sleep inside with you as there are predators that would happily lure your pet away in the night.

Everyone will sleep better under the same roof!

SMOKING

Smoking of any kind (cigarettes, cigars, pipes, marijuana) is forbidden in our homes and on our grounds. Vaping is also not permitted in our homes.

Smoking is permitted on our patios and in designated smoking areas. Please utilize the sand bucket provided on the patios when smoking and discard all your butts there. Do not throw your butts on the ground.

If you smoke in the houses or on the range, or throw butts on the ground, you will be fined $250.

QUIET TIME

One of the pleasures of ranch life is a peaceful night’s sleep. For those cowboys who are early risers, please respect a quiet time after 11:00 pm.

GARBAGE AND RECYCLING

Garbage and recycling bins are located on every property for your convenience.

The Ranch Manager will collect garbage after your departure for removal to the local transfer station. Please take all your recycling home with you. Bags are available for your use.

DO NOT BURN ANY GARBAGE OR CARDBOARD IN OUR FIREPLACES!
