Meadow Lake Guest Ranch is located in central British Columbia, 35km northwest of the town of
Clinton, on the historic Gold Rush Trail. Over 700 acres, the ranch sits on the Fraser Plateau surrounded
by undisturbed Crown Lands with dozens of lakes and streams that support a rich ecosystem and
Meadow Lake Guest Ranch caters to those looking to escape the hectic urban lifestyle and indulge in the
many self-directed activities of the region. There are multiple private lodgings on the Ranch which offer
accommodation year round at various price points.

Be prepared to see an array of wildlife as the Ranch is home to multiple ecosystems and diverse wildlife population. Surrounded by undisturbed Crown Lands, the exploring, fishing and hunting opportunities are endless. There are dozens of stocked trout ponds within minutes of the Main House. Guests will need to provide for their own equipment and attire when visiting Meadow Lake Guest Ranch.
With hundreds of acres to explore on the Ranch or the vast expanse of breathtaking wilderness of the south Cariboo, there’s no limit to the activities available. From bird-watching, horseback riding and star-gazing, to fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, Meadow Lake Guest Ranch can recharge the spirit and indulge favourite outdoor passions.
Trail Riding by Horseback - Riders can bring their own horses as Meadow Lake Guest Ranch provides paddocks beside each lodging as well as a large barn for long-term boarding. Local guides are available for hire for those unfamiliar with the area. (Riders assume full liability)

With a number of options to choose from, Meadow Lake Guest Ranch offers a variety of lodging options. Select the one that best suits your needs when you make your booking:
Jefferson Ranch House — A luxurious a 2,800 sq. ft. custom log home with 2 bedrooms plus 2 private sleeping areas in the loft, sleeps 8 (4 couples) comfortably. The Ranch House features a well-appointed master suite with spa bathroom, a gourmet kitchen and 800 sq. ft. games loft with billiards, foosball and air hockey tables, bar area and mounted flat screen TV. The front of the house includes a covered, screened porch where 16 can dine with captivating views of the property, mountains and sunsets over Meadow Lake.
Meadow Lake Roadhouse Cabin — A fully-restored, historic 1860s Roadhouse that provides modern comforts with charming decor. The Roadhouse was originally a stagecoach stop on the Gold Rush Trail and later a bunkhouse for cowboys moving herds. This 1,400 sq. ft. log guest cabin has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 6 comfortably. There is a fenced paddock next to the building for horses as well as a woodstove, radiant heat, a full bathroom featuring a shower and an old-fashioned tub. Chefs will enjoy the well appointed kitchen.
Lakeview House — This expansive post & beam home sits on a grassy hill with grand views from its wraparound decks to Meadow Lake and the Marble Range. The property is fully fenced and gated with its own 8-stall horse barn. The house offers a 3 bedroom suite and a 2 bedroom suite, each with full kitchens, living areas, and bathrooms. The suites are adjoining and can be rented together to accommodate larger groups.
Hunter’s Cabin — Our handcrafted log Hunter’s Cabin is a cozy 1-room rustic retreat. This modest lodging offers a one twin and one bunkbed, electricity, proximate outhouse and breathtaking view. This property is best suited for hunters, fishermen or anyone looking for comfortable humble lodging. There is no running water and accompanying outdoor toilet. BYOB—bring your own bedding!
Shop Suite — Manageably priced, this no-frills suite provides basic accommodation for short or extended stays. 485 sq. ft., includes electricity, running water and hot plate.

Meadow Lake Guest Ranch is located 35km northwest of the town of Clinton in British Columbia’s sunny South Cariboo. The Ranch is a 5-hour drive from Vancouver, a 9-hour drive from Calgary and a 2-hour drive from Kamloops International Airport. There are several smaller regional and private airfields in the area making it an easy getaway location for regional, Canadian and International travelers. Helipad accessible. Take the Trans-Canada Hwy 1 through Hope and head north to Cache Creek, BC. Continue north on BC-97 to Clinton. Look for the funky log house on the right, 15km north of Clinton then turn left at the blue sign: Canoe Creek Dog Creek, Alkali Lake, onto Meadow Lake Road. Proceed for about 26km to the Jefferson Ranch House, 3460 Meadow Lake Road. The driveway is located on the left, at power pole #265. Locals Tip: the power poles are all numbered. Use them to navigate.
From Kamloops to Meadow Lake Guest Ranch:
Take Trans-Canada Hwy 1 west to Cache Creek. Make a sharp right turn onto BC-97 northbound. Turn
left at Meadow Lake Road. Proceed for about 26km to the Jefferson Ranch House, 3460 Meadow Lake
Road. The driveway is located on the left, at power pole #265. Locals Tip: the power poles are all numbered. Use them to navigate.
From 100 Mile House to Meadow Lake Guest Ranch:
Take BC-97 south. Once you pass 50 Mile, the highway turns to a passing lane. Once the passing lane ends, you turn a sharp corner and the turn off to Meadow Lake Road is right on the corner. Proceed along Meadow Lake Road for about 26km to the Jefferson Ranch House, 3460 Meadow Lake Road. The driveway is located on the left, at power pole #265. Locals Tip: the power poles are all numbered. Use them to navigate.
